Call for Speakers
ecoCompute 2025 Call for Speaker now open
We're excited to invite dynamic and knowledgeable speakers to submit their talks for our upcoming ecoCompute25 conference. This is your opportunity to inspire, engage, and share your expertise with a diverse audience eager for fresh insights and practical solutions.
Under our about page you’ll find more details about the conference focus. In short: we are looking for talks that explore sustainable engineering solutions in hardware and software to reduce the resource consumption of digital infrastructure.
What you can submit:
- Talks - 50 Mins (incl. Q&A)
- The classic. You will be able to present on stage and take questions after
- Workshops - 2 hours
- The interactive. Here you will get a workshop space and a facilitator's kit to host an interactive workshop with participants
- Community Spotlight - 5 Mins
- We value community! Thus we introduce this format where you can share a short impulse on a dedicated stage. Afterwards you have the option to get a table in our community space where you can meet with interested folks that head your talk. Sustainability experts are a curious bunch :)
What we especially appreciate:
- Success stories from real-world projects
- Lessons learned from challenges and failures
- Technical deep-dives into tools, techniques, and systems
- Research projects (academic or industry) that push the boundaries
- New approaches that help rethink how we build and use digital technology sustainably
Here are some example topics that fit our theme — but don’t hesitate to propose something that broadens the scope or challenges the status quo:
- Case studies from companies or customer collaborations around sustainability in hardware, software, or datacenters
- Research or R&D on sustainable design and operation in digital systems
- Analysis of why sustainability techniques are not (yet) widely adopted in tech and cloud environments
- Insights into gaps between hardware efficiency features and their uptake in software
- Innovations in hardware, software, or tooling that enable resource savings (energy, emissions, hardware lifespan)
- Solutions for energy savings through thermal management, energy monitoring, SoC power management, battery management, and more
- Approaches in AI and ML that contribute to reducing carbon emissions
If your main goal is marketing your product or service, please check out our sponsoring options instead — we have great ways for you to present your organization! (Note: We do not offer paid talk slots.)
You can enter proposals until 2025-07-31 12:00 (Europe/Berlin), 3 months, 4 weeks from now.
