ecoCompute 2025 - Community Track
Call for Speakers - Community Track
Shape the Change with Us!
We want to actively shape the path toward a socially just and sustainable digitalization – and we need you to make it happen!
In the Community Track of ecoCompute 2025, we are creating spaces for exchange, reflection, and creative collaboration. Together, we aim to analyze the challenges of digitalization and develop concrete ideas for a future-proof digital world.
What’s it about?
ecoCompute is the first conference entirely dedicated to the ecological sustainability of hardware and software. With the Community Track, we are establishing a space for civil society exchange that brings together environmental NGOs, activists, tech experts, researchers, and interested citizens. Our goal is to collaboratively develop pathways for socially just and environmentally friendly digital technologies. The Community Track is designed to foster continuous dialogue, encourage networking, and spark concrete projects and solutions for sustainable IT.
What are we looking for?
For the Community Track at ecoCompute 2025, we invite contributions addressing the following topics:
- Sustainable Digitalization: How can ecological, socially-just and digital transformations be interconnected?
- Civil Society Networks and Movements: Best practices, challenges, and visions.
- Political Advocacy: Strategies and experiences in bringing sustainability and digitalization jointly onto the political agenda.
- Community Building: Success factors for building and strengthening active, committed communities.
Whether it's a workshop, panel discussion, keynote, or interactive format – we welcome creative, inspiring, and bold contributions!
How to submit?
Please submit your abstract (approximately 300–500 words) via our conference portal.
Don't forget to specify whether you are proposing your own format or using an existing one.

We look forward to hearing your ideas!
